Jordan Samonas works as a performer, choreographer and producer of dance works and multidisciplinary projects. Her work has most recently been presented at Dark Horse Dance Projects (2019), UPROAR Arts Festival (2019), ROOTED Contemporary Dance (2015-2019), Series Dance 10 with the Ottawa Dance Directive (2018), Inside Out (2018), CanDance Presenters Showcase (2018) and NORTH OF MIND with Don Ross (2018).
Jordan is a member of the Ottawa Rhythm Initiative (ORI) Tap Dance Ensemble. Recent stage highlights with the ORI include TRI Presents the Music of Oscar Peterson (2019) and TD Ottawa Jazz Fest on the OLG Stage (2018). She also volunteers as marketing and social media coordinator with the ORI and assists in promoting tap dance classes, jams, workshops and seminars.
Jordan has a background in self-producing shows, having founded, produced and hosted dance contemporaine ROOTED Contemporary Dance (2015-2019) in Wakefield, QC for the past 5 years, and also co-produced of NORTH OF MIND with Canadian fingerstyle guitarist Don Ross (2018). She also worked as an assistant artistic producer in Festival Ta Da! (2016-2017.)
