The Ottawa Museum Network (OMN) is pleased to announce that the Indigenous Relations in Ottawa – An Introductory Handbook is now available for download from the OMN website.

The handbook introduces readers to essential history and terminology of the Omamiwinini (Algonquin-Anishinaabe), the territory encompassing the Ottawa River Watershed, contemporary Indigenous issues and social movements, as well as specific content for museums working with Indigenous communities. The handbook is accompanied by a map of the traditional Omamiwinini territory with Algonquin names for 13 sites of significance along the Ottawa River.
