SPAO Summer Camp Panel Discussion and Portfolio Reviews Artist talk on June 22 from 5 to 7 pm. Portfolio Reviews June 23 from 10 am to 4 pm.
Join us at the SPAO Centre (77 Pamilla) this weekend for a panel discussion and portfolio reviews. Our speakers’ series continues with Parfocal Lens: SUMMER CAMP on Saturday June 22 from 5 to 7 pm. Enjoy refreshments, gather with the SPAO community, and gain a deeper appreciation of the art on display in the exhibition CANADIANA: SUMMER CAMP. Commemorating the 50th anniversary of the decriminalization of homosexuality in Canada, the exhibition features lens-based artworks produced over the last five decades by LGBTQ+ artists from across the country. Exhibition artists Evergon and Dayna Danger will be joined in a discussion moderated by Cara Tierney. The following day, on Sunday June 23 from 10 am to 4 pm, the panelists will be joined by art collector Bill Staubi to offer portfolio reviews to the general public. A small group of photographers and photo-based artists will have the opportunity to have their work reviewed and receive critical feedback.
A very limited number of portfolio review opportunities are available: go to the website for more info and to secure your spot! http://spao.ca/gallery
