Arts Network Ottawa has worked with Ottawa’s arts community for 30 years to build a vibrant and sustainable sector.  Subject to funding confirmation, three opportunities are available for bilingual post-secondary students to help with planning and implementing upcoming and new initiatives.

Deadline for applications is May 1, 2018.

These positions are being advertised in anticipation of funding under the Canada Summer Jobs initiative. To be eligible, you must be between 15 and 30 years of age on the start date of the job. You also must have been a full-time student during the previous academic year and be intending to return to full-time studies in the next academic year. You also must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident or a refugee under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.

Program Assistant Intern
Potential start date: May 7, 2018
Contract: Full-time, 16 week contract, summer student position
Hours: 5 days per week, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: $14.50/hour
The Program Assistant will be supervised by the Program Manager and will help to organize a variety of activities including workshops, information sessions, art exhibitions, and other artistic opportunities in both official languages. Must meet all Canada Summer Jobs criteria.

Communications Assistant Intern
Potential start date: May 7, 2018
Contract: Full-time, 16 week contract, summer student position
Hours: 5 days per week, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: $14.50/hour
Under the supervision of the Director of Communications, the Graphic Design and Marketing Assistant will assist, develop and implement a number of graphic design and marketing tasks in both official languages. Projects will include campaigns and materials for fundraising, community development, and programming and a focus on the organization’s branding and new website.

Membership and Community Relations Assistant Intern
Potential start date: May 7, 2018
Contract: Full-time, 16 week contract, summer student position
Hours: 5 days per week, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: $14.50/hour
The Membership and Development Assistant will be supervised by the Philanthropy and Community Relations Manager and will help to organize a variety of activities for Arts Network Ottawa members and donors including information sessions, networking events, fundraising campaign, data entry and member resources in both official languages. Must meet all Canada Summer Jobs criteria.
