Presented by Arts Network Ottawa

This annual gathering event celebrates community-engaged arts in the Ottawa region: bringing together community builders and artists, delegates from local community arts initiatives, grass-roots organizations and community partners. Made possible through the generous financial support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation and the Ottawa Community Foundation, the gathering will feature panel discussions on accessibility and empowerment in community arts as well as interactive presentations and hands-on workshops and activities.

The Community Arts Gathering aims to provide community-engaged project and career growth insight for both community groups and emerging artists, as well as programming development tools for community partners interested in collaborating with local artists.

Through this gathering event we hope to connect artists and community partners, while showcasing some of Ottawa’s community-engaged arts key actors and community builders. This is your chance to get involved, meet like-minded artists and community members, and learn about the community art projects that are transforming our neighbourhoods into vibrant, inspirational spaces.

The Neighbourhood Arts Ottawa 2019-2020 residency projects will also be showcased, and several artists will be facilitating workshops throughout the day.
