July 25 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
EXHIBITION SPACE AT ARTS NETWORK OTTAWA
Josée Francoeur was born in Montreal, Quebec. She is a life-long painter who discovered drawing as a young child. She began the study of oils in her 20’s. Now living in the Ottawa region, she is closer to breathtaking surroundings. Her passion for nature is seen in her work as she transforms landscape into stunning painting with bold colors.
Through her professional education in science, she understands the chemistry of colors and she is truly passionate about mixing unique hues to create the atmosphere that she wants to represent in her painting. From taking her own pictures of nature when she walks and hikes she conveys her raw emotions on every single canvas with every single brushstroke. Between light and shadows, life is revealed through vivid colors and shapes. The flexibility and depth of color and texture of oil and acrylic paint allows her to pay tribute to this beauty with thick and impasto modern impressionistic brush strokes dancing on each and every canvas.
She participated in several art shows, with different organizations and she manages her own website www.joseefrancoeur.com where she sells her art throughout the world.
The intent of her exhibition “Impressions of the 45th parallel”, July 25th 2019 to August 26th 2019, is to share her vision of Canadian landscapes of the Ottawa region at the 45th parallel North of latitude through modern impressionistic brushstrokes.
