On June 17, 2020, Arts Network Ottawa made a commitment to identifying and addressing racial prejudices in our workplace and community. We promised to take action to respond to systemic racism and practice effective ally-ship by challenging and dismantling white supremacy and prejudice.
In 2020 we pledged to complete our Diversity and Inclusion Policy as well as our Access and Equity Strategies by end of year. We admit that we underestimated the scope of this project and acknowledge that work and process of updating these policies is never complete. We humbly ask for your patience as we untangle the many intricacies of decolonizing our workplace. We continue to welcome comments, thoughts, feedback and open dialogue.
